Geneva was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. She loved her family above everything and was affectionately known as the monarch of her family. She especially enjoyed family trips to the beach, and she also found delight in simple pleasures such as yard sales and visiting Goodwill in search of treasures. Her warm spirit, gentle nature, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristy Baker and her husband Brian, who was a special son-in-law, and Sheena Fugate; her stepsons, Brent Hutchison and his wife Amanda, who was a special daughter-in-law, Justin Hutchison and his wife Sarah, Josh Hutchison and his wife Lacey, and Jeromy Hutchison and his wife Kim; and her grandchildren, Chazz Baker and his wife Kennedy, Caylie (John Avery Kincade) Baker, Autumn Weston, Kelsey Robinson, Adriona Frain, Tyler Hutchison, Parker Hutchison, Walker Hutchison, Paisley Hutchison, Slade Hutchison, Hayden Hutchison, Austin Davis, and Kinsley Davis. She is also survived by sisters, Diann Epperson and her husband Justin, Deborah Epperson, Sharon Alsept and her husband Jack, and Beverly Epperson; her brothers, Denny Ray Epperson, James David Epperson and his wife Katrina, and Hargis Epperson and his wife Patty; and her in-laws, Lisa Webb and her husband Mike, John Hutchison and his wife Debbie, Melanie Harris and her husband Randy, and Virgil Jones. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish her memory.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Larry D. Hutchison; her parents, Herbert D. Epperson and Margaret G. Harvey Epperson; her grandparents, James and Martha J. Harvey and David and Martha Epperson; her brothers, Elmer Ray Epperson and Herbert “Denny” Epperson; her sister, Betty Lou Epperson White; her mother-in-law, Geneva Bryant Hutchison; her sister-in-law, Debbie Jones; and her stepdaughter, Dana Gwen Hutchison Huffstickler.
She earned an associate degree in nursing and devoted 36 years of her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse, working mainly in the Emergency Room. Her compassion, skill, and steady presence made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and coworkers. In addition to her nursing career, she and her husband were the owner-operators of Hutchway Farms, where she contributed her hard work and dedication to their family enterprise.
Geneva was a Christian and was baptized as a member of Living Water Church in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Her faith was an important part of her life and guided the way she loved and served others. She will be remembered for her kind and friendly spirit, her devotion to her family, and the many ways she made life brighter for those around her.Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday October 27, 2026, by Pastor Grant Cannoy at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. Burial will follow in the Hutchison Family Cemetery, 596 College Rd., Paris, KY.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM Tuesday October 27, 2026, until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brian Baker, Chazz Baker, Jay Jolly, Glenn Hudson, Wes Epperson, Zack Epperson, Brent Hutchison, Tyler Hutchison, Parker Hutchison and Walker Hutchison. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan French, Cody Hensley, Blake White, Denny Ray Epperson, Jonathon Epperson, Ricky Davis, Wayne Hayes, Brady Hudson, Domonic Hudson, Dusty Amburgey and Brandon Alsept.
