Timothy Dale Byrd, age 64 of Mullins Point in Campton, Kentucky passed away at his home Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Born April 2, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio, Timothy lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to his family and a steadfast faith in God.

Timothy was a skilled contractor who dedicated his career to building homes, installing windows, and siding houses. His craftsmanship left a lasting mark on the communities he served and reflected his commitment to providing quality work for others. Beyond his professional endeavors, Timothy found joy in farming and rolling hay—a testament to his love for the land and the simple pleasures of life. He also had a deep appreciation for music, particularly enjoying the sounds of ZZ Top, Leonard Skynard, CCR and Bob Seger.

Faith played an important role in Timothy's life. He believed in God and loved Jesus with all his heart. He attended the Church of God.

Timothy cherished his family above all else. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Sandra Lee Roberts Byrd; their son, Timothy Floyd Byrd (Mildred); their daughter, Jessica Dawn Wilson (John); as well as his brothers, Jimmy Byrd and James Byrd; and sisters, Belinda Lunsford, Cherri Trich and Tonya Johnson. He also held a special place in his heart for his niece, Susan White and leaves behind a host of other nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

He was predeceased by his parents, James and Arnedia Byrd; his daughter, Misty Byrd who passed away in 1983 and his brother, Ricky Lee Byrd.

Visitation for Timothy will be held Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Breathitt Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with his funeral service scheduled for Sunday, August 9 at 1:00 PM with Adam Hays officiating.

Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery at Mullins Point in Campton with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Timothy’s legacy is one of love for family, dedication to work, faith in God and an appreciation for life’s simple joys. May those who knew him find comfort in their memories of him and the enduring impact he made on their lives.
