A female driver was injured late Christmas Eve after rolling her vehicle over a 15-foot embankment on Highway 30 West.
Brenda Taulbee, of Jackson, received an injury to her hand in the wreck near the intersection of Highway 30 West and Johnson Branch Road at 6:25 p.m. on December 24.
The initial call came into Post 13 Dispatch in Hazard, reporting a single vehicle over the hill on its side with a female trapped inside.
Fire Crews from Canoe Community Fire Department and the Jackson Fire and Rescue Squad responded to the scene and helped free Taulbee by cutting the front windshield out of her gray Chevrolet Equinox LS.
Firemen aided Taulbee up the hillside to the roadway. She was reportedly transported to the Kentucky River Medical Center for evaluation by a family member.
KPS Trooper Justin Baker is in charge of the investigation.
