A Haddix woman was charged with providing false information to the Kentucky State Police while she was intoxicated.
Mary A. Miller, 52, of Highway 1110, was arrested at 9:02 p.m. on February 14 by Trooper Matt Turner and charged with one count of Falsely Reporting an Incident to Law Enforcement.
According to the case information, Miller called 911 from Post 13 in Hazard. She told dispatchers that her boyfriend, Richard Patrick, was “actively assaulting her and had a firearm in his hand.” Miller told the dispatcher that she needed an ambulance because she had been “beaten half to death” and had a head injury.
When Turner responded to the scene about two miles up Highway 1110, and located Richard Patrick and Michael Watts standing in the driveway of the home. Turner noted that Patrick did not have a weapon, and Patrick told the trooper that he had not assaulted Miller.
Both Patrick and Watts told Trooper Turner that Miller had assaulted Patrick by “throwing food at him because she was intoxicated.”
After speaking with Miller, Trooper Turner placed her under arrest inside the home. She was transported to the Jackson Police Department and later transferred to the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard.
She is scheduled to be arraigned before Judge Gary Salyers.
