Larry Olan Fletcher known to all who knew him as "Flip", passed away Friday, February 13, 2026 at his home in Wolverine, Kentucky.
Born on September 3, 1954 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, Flip was the son of the late Olan and Malvery Hounshell Fletcher. He was a graduate of Breathitt High School and went on to build a lifelong career as a mechanic. Over the years, he applied his skills and dedication at Tire Works and Breathitt Mechanical, where his strong work ethic and reliability left a lasting impression.
Larry found joy not in hobbies or leisure but in labor itself. He especially loved working outdoors and thrived under the warmth of the sun on hot days. His passion for hard work defined him—he lived each day with purpose and commitment.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Anna Watkins Fletcher; his son, Jeff Fletcher; his brother, Donnie Fletcher; and his sister, Juanita Holbrook. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers—Claude "Buzz" Fletcher, Jackie Fletcher and Gerald Fletcher; and one sister, Imogene Minix.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
