Juanita Sue Holbrook age 84 of Jackson KY, passed away on July 25, 2026, and is now finally out of pain and is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Her compassion and unselfish love for all that knew her will never be forgotten.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Olan and Malvory Fletcher of Wolverine KY, husband Ova Holbrook, son Randy Holbrook, sister Imogene Minix, brothers: Gerald, Jackie, Claude Wayne "Buzz," and Larry O. "Flip" Fletcher of Wolverine KY.
She is survived by her daughter Terri Holbrook of Pigeon Forge, TN; brothers: Donnie Fletcher (Eunice) of Wolverine KY; sister-in-laws: Anna Jo Fletcher of Wolverine KY, and Mildred Holbrook Farley of Willard Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews.
Special thanks to Sue's niece Kalah Minix for all of her time, love, and persistence to help find Sue's diagnosis, Sue's nephew Scott Minix for all of the time and care he provided in her time of need, and to Sue's "Breathitt County Library Angels," Thelma Gross-Haddix and Sandra Napier for their love, compassion, and keeping her supplied with reading material.
Thankfulness and gratitude are felt toward Sue's neighbors as they provided her with care and an abundance of love when she needed it the most.
To honor Sue's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, but the family invites all who knew her to celebrate her memory in their own special way.
