Hedy Sue Hollan of Jackson, Kentucky passed away peacefully on June 28th at the age of 85.
Born on May 3, 1941, Hedy was the daughter of the late Dolly Sizemore Baker and Drexel Rogers. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who dedicated her life to caring for those she loved.
Hedy enjoyed traveling, shopping, watching soap operas, cooking staples that her family loved, collecting purses, vintage Hallmark snowmen and bells from around the world. She loved experiencing new things and sampling different foods. She especially cherished spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons; Earnest Paul Hollan (Jackie) and Edwin Scott Hollan (Amy); and daughter; Dolly Kathleen Hollan (Tim); her stepchildren; Charles Hollan (Connie), John Hollan (Vicki), Bonnie Combs, and Barbara Fugate; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters; Darlene King and Jeanette France; brothers; Kenneth Baker and Brian Jones and numerous extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years; Edward Hollan Jr.; her stepsons; Robert Hollan, Doug Hollan, Edward Hollan III and Bryce Hollan; her stepdaughter; Christine Turner; her sisters; Rita Chaffins and Brigitte Clemons; and her brother; Freddy Efaw.
Visitation for Hedy will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Breathitt Funeral Home beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 1:00 PM. Mark Driskill will be officiating her service.
Burial will follow in the Hollan Cemetery at Canoe with Joshua Hollan, Zachary Hollan, Jarrod Hollan, Samuel Savage, Evan Whisman, Christopher Farler and Chris Baker serving as pallbearers.
