Betty Jean Neace, born on May 14, 1960 in Hazard, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was 65 years old.
Betty was the beloved daughter of the late Hort and Lucy Noble Collins. Throughout her life, Betty found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends, a passion that defined her days and brought warmth to those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jennifer Combs, Crystal Neace and Martha Melton; her son, Burton Sizemore; her sister, Lola Miller; and her brothers, Garvey Collins and Beecher Collins. Betty’s legacy lives on through her sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and values she instilled in them.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by other loved ones who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms.
Visitation for Betty will begin Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Breathitt Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with her funeral service scheduled to be held Tuesday, April 21, at 1:00 PM with Beecher Collins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery at Dice, Kentucky with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Betty's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.
