Nellie Fugate Gross

Nellie Fugate Gross, 61, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her home at Gross Valley in Jackson. She was the daughter of the late Hobert and Polly Roberts Fugate. She was also preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Woodrow Watts; nephew, Joshua Watts; father and mother-in-law, Hargis and Jane Gross; brothers-in-law, Sam Potter, Glenn Gross, Melvin Gross; sister-in-law, Grace Gross. Nellie was a homemaker and loved spending time with her grandbabies. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jerry Thomas "Chicken Man" Gross; daughters, Renee Gross (Daniel Carver), Kristina (Nick) Napier, Jerri (Jeremy) Rice; grandchildren, Jake (Hannah) Combs, Gabby Combs, Nicki Napier, Shy-Ann Little, Ryan Little, Kayden Napier, Peyton Little, Jacob (Maddie) Rice, Eli Rice; great grandchild to be, Talbert Knox Johnson. A celebration of life service will be held Friday, May 3, 5:00PM - 8:00PM at her home at Gross Valley.
