Arthur Carl Ashcraft

Arthur Carl Ashcraft, affectionately known as “Pat” to family and friends of Northern KY, formerly of Jackson passed away at his home in Nicholasville on April 13th 2024. Arthur was born on October 16, 1929 to Leonard and Elizabeth (Sharp) Ashcraft of Falmouth, KY. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Karen (nee Clift); daughters Bonnie Fredricks and Patty (Anthony) Oaks, sister Juanita Wulfekamp, grandchildren - Michael (Brittany) Fredricks, Stephen (Jessie) Fredricks, Jennifer (Michael) Brookins, Rachel (Stephen) Fine, and Erin (Mathew) Little, and 7 great-grandchildren, Aria, Aiden, Daisy, Whitley, Sullivan, Austin and Noah. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters Mary Hutchinson, Dorothy Brunker and Loretta Gulick, and brother Johnny Ashcraft

Arthur was a Methodist minister for about 30 years; serving at the Jackson First United Methodist Church from 1979-1987. He served the Jackson community as a member of the hospital and senior citizens boards, and the Kiwanis Club, chairman of the Honey Festival, and was involved in numerous other projects. He was well known to work on small engines, painting houses, and other odd jobs. Visitation will be held at the Jackson First United Methodist Church on April 27th from 1-3P.M. His memorial service will begin at 3pm with Danny Speas officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jackson First United Methodist Church or Bluegrass Care Navigators.
